Terms for restaurant owners

1. Purpose

These terms govern the Peanut restaurant area, available from the web portal. They supplement the terms of use, which also apply. They concern professionals who represent a restaurant.

2. Restaurant owner account

You create a restaurant owner account on the portal, accepting these terms and the terms of use. You declare that you act on behalf of the restaurant you claim, and that you are entitled to represent it.

3. Claiming or creating a restaurant

  • To manage a restaurant, you submit a request stating your position, a business phone number and a justification. You can claim an existing page or ask for a new page to be created.
  • Each request is checked by hand by the Peanut team, which may contact you, ask for more information or refuse the request. No right is granted before this validation.
  • Several people can manage the same restaurant.

4. Access to the restaurant area

Editing a page, responding to reviews, uploading documents and reporting a review require active access. This access is enabled and followed up by hand by the Peanut team: no online payment is offered so far.

Pricing: €10 per month for the account and the first establishment, then €5 per month for each additional establishment. VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code. [TO BE VALIDATED : payment terms, and notice period before a price change]

While your access is active, the information you declare is presented as provided by the restaurant. If your access ends or is suspended, it is presented again as reported by the community.

5. Accuracy of information

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you declare, in particular about allergens and your team’s training. People with allergies rely on it to choose where to eat.
  • You undertake to update it without delay as soon as a change of recipe, supplier or organisation makes it inaccurate.
  • Every change to a page is recorded in a history (state before and after), which the Peanut team can consult.

6. Responses to reviews

  • Your responses are public, in the restaurant’s name. They must remain courteous and factual.
  • Never reveal, or try to guess, the identity of a review’s author or their health data. Do not contact them or put any pressure on them.
  • If the author withdraws their consent to the publication of their reviews or deletes their account, a review you responded to is deleted together with your response, because the response could identify them. A review you did not respond to may stay published without an author name.

7. Reports

You can report a review of your restaurant for a specific reason: abusive content, spam, fake review or conflict of interest, off-topic, personal data, unlawful content, or other. The Peanut team examines every report and alone decides what action to take. A review is not removed merely because it is negative.

8. Documents and photos

The menus, allergen charts and documents you upload from the restaurant area are published immediately, under your responsibility. You can edit or delete them, and the Peanut team can remove them. You grant the same licence on them as the one provided for contributions in the terms of use, and you guarantee that you hold the necessary rights.

9. Personal data

How your data is processed is described in the privacy policy (section 3.11). The display names and the content of the reviews you read may not be used outside Peanut.

10. End

  • You can delete your account at any time, from the app. Your links to restaurants, your requests and your responses to reviews are then deleted. A restaurant page left without any manager goes back to “to be checked again”.
  • The Peanut team may suspend your access or remove a link to a restaurant in case of inaccurate information, a breach of these terms, or serious doubt about your capacity to represent the restaurant.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In case of a dispute between professionals, and failing an amicable agreement, the courts with jurisdiction will be those designated by law. [TO BE VALIDATED : jurisdiction clause between professionals]
